Residents of our district can bring their sensitive documents to any of our Recycle Centers to be shredded. There is a limit of three banker boxes, or similar sized boxes, per residence. Staples do not need to be removed from papers, however, before shred is brought to us, we ask that all paperclips, binder clips, plastic page protectors, rubber bands, envelope grommets and clasps, etc., be removed prior to bringing your materials to be shredded. Also, metal tabs will need to be removed from hanging file folders.
When you bring your documents to your local Recycle Center, you will place them in a locked, tamper-proof container. Once the container is full, it is brought to our Madison facility where the contents will be shredded. If you are uncomfortable leaving your documents, you may call our office to schedule an appointment to bring them to our Madison facility and watch them be shredded. All toters remain locked at all times.
This is a residential program only. Please, no business shred!
