The Southeastern Indiana Recycling District (SEIRD) is proud to partner with county government to offer recycling and reuse centers throughout the Indiana counties of: Franklin, Jefferson, Jennings, Ohio, Ripley, Scott, and Switzerland.
Each recycling and reuse center has different hours of operation and guidelines. Serviced counties are listed below, along with a link for a downloadable brochure with details on the services they provide.
Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) is collected in each county two times a year, with the exception of year-around disposal opportunities for all residents through the Jefferson County Processing Center in Madison.
In partnership with district sheriff, police, and health departments, SEIRD residents can dispose of pharmaceutical waste year-around—also at no charge. Refer to this website or the county brochures for more information on times, locations, and guidelines.
